FEBRUARY UPDATE
Welcome February!
Didn’t it seem like January dragged on forever? And now, in the blink of an eye it is already February 8th!
I am so happy for this new month, fresh start, clean slate.
January was really difficult for Justine. As some of you may know, she is 6 months pregnant and has not had an easy go of things. She was diagnosed with hyperemesis and spent her first 3 months heading to the hospital almost daily for IV fluids. After about 2 weeks of respite, she was then admitted to the hospital with severe back issues. She is now home and on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. I will be handling the business while she is on maternity leave. Thankfully, when we began planning for Locally Obsessed back in the summer, we planned out our next year and we also planned how we would manage her maternity leave. While Justine may make an appearance from time to time, the majority of the next 18 months will be all Me! (Nicole)
Last weekend I packed and dropped off the February bags on my own. There was already a noticeable difference since the January bags - there were way more to pack and deliver! I think I will be recruiting some more help next month, but for now, my 6 year old is still a willing participant!
There have been some changes and a lot going on at Locally Obsessed, despite being a bit understaffed! We made the decision to expand into Langley, Surrey and Maple Ridge, as well as Abbotsford. Chilliwack and Abbotsford subscribers will get products from their respective towns and Surrey, Maple Ridge an Langley will be receiving a mix from Abbotsford and Chilliwack for a short time. Our goal is to ultimately source Surrey from Surrey, Langley from Langley and so on and we are hoping to make the change soon!

We are really excited for March, it is inaugural month for Abbotsford and we have some really unique items coming from Chilliwack. Thanks again to all our vendors, makers, artists and to our subscribers as well, this has been a really great experience for everyone involved and we are so happy to see our little dream company take off!
